Hi,
I would like to know if there are bus service from las vegas to the Canyon.(not the tours)I would like to stay at the grand canyon for a couple of days and return to lasvegas.I am a tourist and I don’t have a vehicle.
Please tell me how best can I make this trip.I’ll be visiting during the last week of july.
Thankyou, Aruna.
Unfortunately, there is no scheduled bus service from Las Vegas directly to the Grand Canyon. The closest you would be able to get on Greyhound would be Flagstaff, Arizona which is 90 miles away. You would then have to take a shuttle from there to the Grand Canyon, which is offered by Open Road Tours.
Open Road Tours is a good company, but unfortunately we hesitate to recommend Greyhound to any of our customers due to very negative (and firsthand) reports about their drivers and busses. If you do not wish to drive, nor wish to endure the inconveniences of having to rely on public transit (which is very scarce in this part of the country), you might consider overnight Las Vegas to Grand Canyon tour packages offered by Scenic Airlines, which include round-trip air travel from Las Vegas and lodging at the South Rim. For more information on these, visit http://www.scenic.com or call 702-638-3200.

Dear Alleyk, If one is traveling from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon, what is the best way to visit both the South and West Rims?
